I’ve been home and in my house for almost two weeks now, and I will say this, I’ve had a lot of time to think about so many things.
The main thing I was thinking about was all the things that I’ve taken for granted.
I always complained about how much I disliked going to the food store. I’ll never say it again because I miss being able to go.
I sometimes felt that it was easier to reach out to someone by phone or text than try and meet somewhere in person. I’ll never feel that way again because I miss hugs, handshakes and being out in public.
I thought that everyone took kindness and compassion for granted but I don’t think that anymore because I’ve seen a State, a Country and the World show amazing examples of those qualities.
So many things that we all took for granted that I am sure will NEVER be taken for granted again.
The world is a different place right now and we’re all living in a “new normal,” yet I think that is a good thing, especially if it’s taught us all how precious life is and how much of the “little things” we took for granted.
Maybe, just maybe, we will all come through this a little different and a lot better.
Maybe, just maybe, the entire world will, too.

We’re on the second week of “social distancing.” How are you holding up?

As we all settle in for the next 15 days to help to stop the spread of COVID-19, it’s important that we stick together and are there for one another in whatever way that we can.
I will continue to share my posts with you and will be doing a LIVE video each day to check in with you.
I am also letting you know that beginning tomorrow, March 18th, I will be here and available for anyone who needs to talk to help them through this time. I will be available by phone at 732-800-1012 between the hours of 10 am until 4 pm EST. You can PM me if there is a specific time of day that you want me to set aside for you or just give a call when the spirit moves you! If you need an evening time let me know. I know I’M not going anywhere! LOL!
Tensions and anxiety can run high during times like that and it’s important that we remain as calm as we can. If you’re having one of those moments or just feel like “checking in” with me, give a call!
We’re all going to get through this and now, more than ever, we need to believe that “we’ll get by with a little help from our friends!”

“And the world came together as the people stayed apart.”
I can’t stress enough how important social distancing is. New Jersey closed all non-essential businesses yesterday and asked that everyone stay home. Colleges have closed for the duration of the semester and graduations are canceled.
It’s an important time in our state, our country, and our world right now. We’re being asked to stay home to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and “flatten the curve.” In my opinion, it’s a matter of respect, compassion and love for our friends, families, communities, first responders, hospitals, doctors, nurses and all of those who are trying to keep us safe. We have to join together in the fight to stop this virus from spreading.
I’m trying to stay optimistic throughout this quarantine and find something positive in it. I’m doing what I’ve been told and am staying home. I go out on my front porch or in the backyard throughout the day, but I can honestly tell you that I haven’t left my house or been in my car in over 10 days.
I want to be part of the solution to “flatten the curve,” and not part of the problem in spreading it.
Don’t you?
The truth is that the world is changing, yet I believe that in the end it will change for the better. I have to have faith that it will.
