“The Life List”

Do you make a list of things you need to do? I do and I don’t have just one! I have the shopping list, the list of bills that need to be paid, a list of doctor appointments that need to be made and so on, and so forth. I must go through all the lists I’ve made at least once a month to check off what I’ve done and what still needs to be done.

But what about this? What about making a list of things you need to do each day just for YOU? Why not make a list of “reminders” of important thoughts and actions you need to live your best life?

Here’s a “life list” I started making for myself for this new year of 2025:

The moment my eyes open in the morning, and before I get out of  bed, I stretch and say a prayer of gratitude for another day to do things better than the day before.

Each morning that I have my first cup of coffee (or tea) I sit and meditate for the day. I keep my thoughts positive and remind myself that I am worthy of all good things.

I want to devote time each day to reading a book with a cup of tea and relaxing.

When my thoughts start racing into a negative direction I will stop and take some deep breaths and refocus my attention on something positive. (This is an important one while dealing with PTSD)

And each day I want to embrace the gift of another day to laugh, to dance, to hug another and to count my blessings.

The list can go on and on but you understand what I mean. We tend to get so caught up in life that we forget to enjoy it and it’s time that we change that!

Be grateful for the gift of a new day.

Make yourself a “life list” just for YOU!

What’s on your list?

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Morning Coffee”

Don’t you just love when that first cup of coffee (or tea) in the morning tastes perfect? It starts the day off with you thinking that it’s a sign that the rest of the day will be just as perfect. Sometimes it is, sometimes it’s not, but either way, for me, that first cup of  coffee sets the tone!

I know, it’s just a cup of coffee, but my point is that the way we start our day is important. It’s important to wake up with gratitude, with a clear mind in knowing that it’s a new day with no mistakes in it and that it’s a day filled with endless possibilities. The day is what we make it and even though life happens and “not so good” circumstances happen to us, it’s up to our attitude and perspective as to how it affects us.

Life is a mindset and our thoughts are powerful. Choose your words carefully.

It’s not easy to always be positive, I know that, but it’s certainly worth a try.

So, on this beautiful Friday morning, I sit with my perfect cup of coffee at my desk, enjoying my view. It’s time to get to work and start writing.

My wish for all of you is a wonderful day filled with all good things.

Happy Friday.

And on a side note, I’m so happy that life has brought me back to writing.

It feels good to be back.

I missed you.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“The Gratitude List”

Everyday is a day to be grateful and today I wanted to share my gratitude list with you.

  • I’m grateful that I woke up to another day to live my best life.sunday
  • I’m grateful for the beautiful early morning sky in Virginia.
  • I’m grateful that with each day my sister is healing more and more from her surgery.
  • I’m grateful for my first cup of coffee with a different view.
  • I’m grateful that the ice is gone and the temperature is much warmer.
  • I’m grateful that my sister and I hung out on the couches last night watching movies.
  • I’m grateful for doors that have opened up for me.
  • I’m grateful for my loved ones back home and for all of you who support me.

It doesn’t matter where you are or what you’re doing. What matters is that there is always something to be grateful for. Life is what you make it, so make it amazing and be grateful for each day you have.

What are you grateful for today? Let me know!

And be grateful for “each breath along the journey.”

It’s a good thing.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Never Forget How Far You’ve Come”

The older we get the more experiences we have under our belt, yet there are times we forget how far we’ve come on this life journey.

We all go through rough days and tough times, no matter our age. It’s in those moments that we wonder how in the world we’re going to make it through, how we’re going to get past this difficult experience, how we’re going to find strength in a soul that is exhausted.

Yet we do.

And do you know how to do that?

You need to remember what you’ve already gone through and that you made it through…and sometimes by the skin of your teeth, but you made it through. And you made it through stronger, different, and better.

Never forget how far you’ve come…never forget the lessons you learned, and some you learned through the worst of times.

And never forget that you never thought you’d make it through, but you did.

You got through a day, slept through a night, and woke up to a new day in the morning.

A new day with no mistakes in it.

A new day to do it all differently than the day before.

A new day to change your life.

And that day is a very good day.

Life will always throw a challenge or two your way, yet it’s so important to remember that we’ve been through difficult times before and we made it through.

“Never forget how far you’ve come.”

Remember that…

Always remember that…

It’s a good thing.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~
