“Happy Faces”

Do you know what that picture below represents? It’s the face of a happy person. It’s the face of someone who received or was treated with kindness from another, maybe even a stranger. Can you imagine what the world would look like if we lived in a sea of smiles? I think that it would be absolutely beautiful.

Who wants to join me in making a commitment to spread kindness wherever we go? Who wants to join me in trying to share an act of kindness with someone every day?Who wants to join me in putting in the effort to make this world a better place?

If you’re in, type “yes” below or share a comment.

All of you that follow me are amazing and I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without your love and support and I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

And today I offer my kindness to all of you by telling you just that, because it’s the truth.

Here’s to happy faces and happy people made possible by all of us that want to make this world a better place.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“When A Rainbow Heals A Heart”

I was upset when I went to bed late last night and tossed and turned for

hours. My heart was hurting terribly and I just couldn’t shut off the thoughts running through my head. I gave in and let the tears flow, asking myself why it all happened? Why do people intentionally hurt one another?

It was then I decided to have a long chat with God and the Universe. I begged for an answer as to why this happened and to understand why it hurt so much. I prayed for a sign.

I decided to turn off my phone in the morning and have my coffee on the lanai and I’m grateful that I did. I looked to my left and saw this beautiful rainbow. There was no rain in sight and rainbows never appeared in that part of the sky. They’re always to the right of me.

And just like that, there was my sign. The rainbow is a sign of promise, hope and love and I really needed the reminder this morning. It was a sign that God and the Universe were very much present in my life and that I wasn’t alone.

Did I get my answer as to why the pain of last night happened? No, but after seeing that rainbow I know that the answer will come in time, just as time will heal my hurting heart.

Wishing you all love, light and rainbows,

~Anne Dennish~

“Thank you, Eddie Money!”

I keep hearing that song by Eddie Money called “I Wanna Go Back” and after the other night of feeling hurt that’s all I wanted to do. I wanted to go back in time and “do it all over.”

But we can’t and I know that but sometimes I can’t help thinking about what I would have done differently, yet you know why we think that we’d do it better? It’s because we know better now. We’ve learned valuable life lessons throughout the years and hopefully, have learned to love ourselves in a way that we didn’t back then.

And I think that’s the key as to why we sometimes look back with sadness and regret. We wish we knew then what we know now but we all know that that’s not how life works and I believe that the biggest reason is that back then we didn’t know how to love ourselves, we were taught to love others and put others first.

Picture yourself 10, 15, 20 or more years ago loving yourself unconditionally. Imagine who you would have been if you had. Our decisions and choices would have most likely been very different.

But we can’t go back. We can only move forward.

The past is the past. The mistakes and decisions we made then are long gone and forgiven. We’ve learned that taking care of ourselves is just as important, if not more, as taking care of  others. We are of much more value to others when we can value ourselves.

There are days that “I wanna go back and do it all over” but I can’t and that’s okay. I know how much I’ve grown because I can look back and know how I would have done it differently. I’ve learned from my mistakes and I’m sure I’ll make more moving forward  but that’s life. We learn from our mistakes.

Here’s to all of us being a work in progress. Give yourself permission to “go back” for a moment to remind yourself just how far you’ve come.

And you’ve come a long way.

We all have.

Thank you, Eddie Money, for an awesome song that’s a reminder for all of us!

Wishing you love and light,

“If You Can’t Be Kind, Be Quiet”

I recorded this video about 3 years ago and it sure does ring true today as well. I hope that you’ll take a listen and remember that words and actions hurt people. No one has the right to be mean to another, so “if you can’t be kind, be quiet.” It truly is a great reminder in this world that can be so crazy and unkind.

Spread kindness, be mindful of your words and actions, and remember that “no day is promised.”

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Life Is What You Make It”

“Life is what you make it, so make it amazing.”

I’ve had a week off from work and been alone, so what did I do with my life? I made it amazing.

I’ve caught up with friends, started the rewrite of a book and had some much needed alone time. And you know what that has done for me? It made me take a long, hard look at my life.

And that look made me see that there are things that need to be changed, things that need to end, and things that need to be given a chance to grow.

I have so loved this “staycation” of mine and am grateful for each day of it. I hadn’t realized how much I needed it.

And I’m grateful.

I’m feeling so much peace, happiness and joy. I forgot what that was like and now I remember and I’m determined to never forget those feelings again.

My loves, I ask you to find your own “staycation,” to find your peace, happiness and joy. I want you to remember those feelings of how that amazing life felt. You deserve it!

And I know that it’s inside of you just waiting to be found again.

Make your life amazing!

Because it already is.

You just have to see it.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“It Really Is A Wonderful Life”

You’re here for a reason. You woke up today for a reason. You’re alive for a reason.

Have you ever seen the movie, “It’s A Wonderful Life?” If you haven’t, you should. And if you have then you should watch it again.

“Strange, isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?” said Clarence the Angel.

You’re here and if you weren’t, life would be completely different. It would be different for everyone. Your existence matters and you’re here for a reason.

Your life touches each and every single life that you’ve met along the way and if you weren’t here, the journey of those people would have been different.

Think about that.Your life has made an impact on each and every life you have met along the way.

You’re here for a reason.

You woke up today for a reason.

You’re alive for a reason.

Think about that.

Be grateful.

And take that “wonderful life” of yours and make a positive impact in the world and in the lives of each and every life you touch.

And you’ve touched the lives of many.

Including mine.

Wishing you love, light and a wonderful life,

~Anne Dennish~

“Actions Make The Words True”

Often times we take things for granted. We assume that the people we love know how we feel about them or how much we appreciate them. We assume that they know when we’re upset or that something they do bothers us. We assume that saying the words to them is enough…but it isn’t.

Assumptions. Nothing good ever comes out of them. It’s a breeding ground for misunderstanding, arguments and hurt feelings.

Words, on the other hand, can make a difference. Words communicate how we’re feeling to someone and  can prevent misunderstanding, arguments and hurt feelings.

Yet there’s something important about those words: you need  the actions to back them up because it’s those actions that make them true to the person you said them to.

Be mindful. Be compassionate. Be kind. Be understanding. Be willing to listen with an open heart and mind.

And be those things to the people you love.

And they’ll be all those things to you.

And never miss an opportunity to not only tell someone how you feel about them, but show them!

It’s a good thing.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“When Dreams Come True”

A dreamer is a realist with faith.”  ~Anne Dennish~

I grew up thinking it was a bad thing to be called a dreamer, yet years ago I changed that way of thinking and began to embrace the word. I am a dreamer and proud of it.

I’m even prouder of my nephew, Sean Wotherspoon, who is proof that dreams come true. I’ve known this child since the day he was born and have watched him grow into an amazing young man who found his passion at a young age and turned his dreams into a reality.

Sean is the owner of three very successful “buy, sell and trade” stores called “RoundTwo” located in NYC, Hollywood, California and Richmond, Virginia. He also has several galleries for RoundTwo. His business is frequented by some of the biggest names around, yet fame and fortune never affected my nephew; he loves what he does and loves living his dream!

He designed the new Nike AirMax sneaker for 2018, and more recently, a toddler line of the shoe was added to the adult version. Sean has designed hats and t-shirts that match his Nike shoe.

Last night I watched a video as he walked the catwalk in NYC Fashion Week for the clothing company, “Clot.” I’m simply amazed at all that he does!

I’m sharing just a small bit of this with you today to remind you of this: “Dreams do come true!”

My nephew is living proof of that.

He is a dreamer, and I’d like to think he got that from me, but more importantly, he’s a dreamer that took a leap of faith in himself and his dream and went for it…

And look where he is now…

Dreams come true…

Go out and make your dreams a reality…

It’s a good thing.

Wishing you love, light, and dreams come true,

~Anne Dennish~

The Dreamers: my nephew and me!

“Love Yourself Enough”

“Love yourself enough to what’s best for you.”

Try it and watch what happens…

It’s a good thing.
