I’m so grateful to Brielle Public Library for hosting my “New Year, New You” event this past Saturday and to all the people who attended. The afternoon was one of family, friends, and strangers that became friends by the end of the event. I read excerpts from my new book, “Each Breath Along The Journey” and answered questions. It was an afternoon of motivation and inspiration for all of us.
I think I’m most grateful for this group of people that opened up and shared their own stories with everyone. The event was one I had hoped for: an interactive, up close and personal discussion to help inspire and motivate those that attended. I was most humbled by all the positive comments I received from all who attended and it was confirmation to me that this is what I’m meant to be doing on this journey of my life.
It was my goal to inspire this group of people, yet what they need to know is that they inspired and motivated me to keep writing and speaking to those who need someone to understand and listen, to make them feel less alone, and for those who just need a voice to spread positive vibes their way.
Thank you to all of those who attended “New Year, New You” this weekend. I am forever grateful that you took the time to spend the afternoon with me. It was a beautiful thing for me to watch as so many of you connected with one another.
I believe that this is the year of like-minded people coming together with kindness and support for each other. Imagine what we can do “together!”
It’s a good thing.
Wishing you love and light,
One of the things I’m grateful for are the memories I hold deep within my heart: the memories of the birth of each of my five children; the memories of birthday parties and Christmas mornings; and the gratitude for the memories of the emotions that I felt.
I’m grateful for the memory of the feelings of a first date and how it felt the moment I fell in love; for the memory of the excitement of a first kiss; of the feelings to be held in the arms of the one you love for the first time.
I’m grateful for the memories of my kid’s tiny hands in mine; for how wonderful it felt that I could fix a boo-boo; for the moments of watching them sleep when they were younger; for the memories of their laughter when they were little and the laughter as they grew older.
I’m grateful for the memories of family parties filled with aunts, uncles and more cousins than you could count. I’m grateful for the memories of my school days and for the nights I spent with my best friends.
I’m grateful for the memories of my loved ones that have passed on; for the love that I still feel for them and for the love they felt for me; and I’m grateful for all the memories of time spent with them and the difference they made in my life.
I’m grateful for the memories of my first book being published; for the memories of how it felt the day I submitted my manuscripts to the publisher; and for the memories of the moment that I first held my new book in my hands.
I’m grateful for the good memories that are embedded deep within my heart and soul. No one can take that away from me and on the days I feel a bit sad it’s those memories that can wash that away.
Good memories are stronger than any bad ones.
Today I sit remembering all those wonderful memories and for that I’m grateful.
Wishing you love and light,
I’m am so excited to announce that Sutton Thomas and I will be making our first public appearance together on Saturday, May 21, from 1-4 pm at the Barnes and Noble located in Monmouth Mall, in Eatontown, NJ!
“My dream come true!”
I will be speaking about my new book, “Waking Up: Lessons Learned Through My Adventures with Life and Breast Cancer,” and Sutton Thomas will be performing the songs we’ve created together LIVE in the store! Our collaboration of songs that coincide with the book will be released in early summer of 2016.
Sutton Thomas and I believe that this is an incredible opportunity for us to go out in the world with stories and music to make a difference in someone’s life: to soothe a soul, heal a heart, bring new perspective to someone who may need it, and to let everyone know that they’re not alone on this journey of life.
It’s time to make a difference, and we can make that difference TOGETHER! Your support makes a difference and will help our success in getting our messages of hope, faith, love and inspiration out into the world!
Please share our event out and more importantly, stop by Barnes and Noble to meet Sutton Thomas and me! We can promise you it will be an afternoon to remember, one filled love, laughter and incredible music!
We will be forever grateful to you for your support! Let the “Waking Up Tour of 2016” begin! It’s time to make a difference!
“Let’s all make a difference together!”
With love and gratitude,
~Anne Dennish & Sutton Thomas~
It’s a big day today, and I’m filled with so many emotions! It’s the official launch and book signing of “Waking Up!” It’s also the first public appearance of “Anne Dennish.” So, how am I feeling? Excited, nervous, anxious, grateful and incredibly blessed. There are so many people that have made this book possible…there’s a piece of them in many of the stories I’ve written. If my life hadn’t changed as much as it has in the last several years, “Waking Up” would never have been written.
So this morning, as I get ready for the afternoon, I sit counting my blessings…and there are many!
I’ve been pursuing this dream for all my life, and the fact that it’s here is overwhelming! I never gave up on it, and while there were moments I wondered if it was worth it, or maybe it wasn’t meant to be, I still went for it.
I say to all of you today, dreams do come true. It may take years, but if you believe in it, and have faith in yourself, it’s absolutely possible!
“Dream big and make it happen!”
Well, Anne Dennish did just that… and today is my day!
I’ll be at BookTowne on Main Street in Manasquan, NJ today from 1 – 3. Stop by if you’re in the area…I’d love to meet you!
Wishing you love and light,
