“Lean On Me”

Anyone feeling a bit lonely today? Need someone to vent to or just be there with a listening ear? I’m your girl today.

And I’m your girl because there have been days when I’ve needed someone to be there as well.

We are all humans trying to get through this life the best that we can. We try to live each day to its fullest and live in a life of gratitude.

But then we get hit with a “not so good day” and all that positive stuff goes out the window.

And that’s okay as long as you don’t stay out of the window too long.

I don’t have to know you personally to love you. I don’t have to know you personally to understand you. And I don’t have to know you personally to be there for you.

I love you because you’ve been supportive of me. I understand you because we’ve all been in a difficult place in our lives and lived through it together.  And I’ll always be there for you because you’ve always been there for me.

Thank you for your love. Thank you for your supportive comments. And thank you for being there on my difficult days because you turned them into good days.

There are days that we all need someone to lean on.

And you can always lean on me.

Wishing you love and light,

Love for “The Mind of a Heart!”

I’m so pleased and grateful to those of you who have read and loved my new novel, “The Mind of a Heart.” The reviews on Amazon and Barnes and Noble are beautiful and I had to share this one that I received today.

Writing is truly my passion and knowing that so many of you have enjoyed this labor of love of mine is confirmation that I’m on the right path.

I’m working diligently on the sequel of this book and looking forward to releasing “One Last Look” in early 2024.

Thank you to those of you who read the book and left a review. Feedback is important to me and I am so happy at what I’m hearing and reading.

Thank you!

Wishing you love and light,

“The Magic Carpet Ride!”

I was speaking to a good friend of mine yesterday and she said that she thought that my life was “a magic carpet ride.” And how right she is! So many amazing things have happened since my novel came out but it’s so much more…

Life is a “magic carpet ride” if we want it to be. So often we think that our lives are just living one day to the next but that’s not true. YOU have a life that is so much more! Each and every one of us has a life worthy of a “magic carpet ride.” Change your perspective on the mundane and look at the amazing. Look at how awesome your life truly is. Find at least one thing each day that is worthy of “a magic carpet ride!”

I don’t believe that any life is mundane or boring, that’s what we tell ourselves. Look deeper, look harder and truly see the magic that every day has to bring to you. Open your heart, open your eyes and open your minds! Look past the daily grind.

See your life as “an amazing carpet ride!”

Because it is.

And it is because you’re here to live it, see it, and feel it.

Try it! It’s worth the effort and it feels amazing!

Enjoy the ride on “your magic carpet!”

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Your Life Matters”

It’s a quiet Monday here in Southwest Florida. I’m sitting on my lanai enjoying a balmy, but cool breeze along with a glass of wine. As I sit here I can’t help but think of the last few days and where I am today.

Last week I was doing the final edits on my new novel, “The Mind of a Heart,” then  approving the manuscript and cover. In less than 3 days the process was done and now I wait until it’s ready to be released to the public for purchase.

My heart is full. It’s full of love, gratitude and belief that with hard work a dream can turn into a reality. This novel is truly my baby and today I’m excited that she’s been born and is getting ready to meet the world.

I wrote this novel many years ago and it wasn’t until over a year ago that I decided to rewrite it and bring it to life. Some things take time in life and this book was one of them. It wasn’t meant to be published years ago, it was meant to be published now.

This afternoon I was  in awe of what I accomplished last week and sat staring at this beautiful book that I wrote. “She” waited a long time to come to life and there she is, a life of her own, one that I hope that you’ll love as much as I loved writing it.

If there’s one thing that I’ve learned in my life it’s this: You don’t need to write a novel, have a successful business or make a million dollars.

Your life is a spectacular gift that you were given, no matter what it hands you or where it takes you.

Your life is important, your life matters and your life makes this world a better place.

And this I know to be true because your life is important to me.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“A Perfect Christmas”

Christmas is fast approaching and the countdown is on. Final decorations are being done on and around the house and wish lists of gifts are being bought. It’s another year of making the “perfect Christmas” happen for your family and friends.

Yet is all this preparation what makes it perfect? Will you and yours remember the decorations and gifts? Will you remember the table and the meal?

Or will you remember the “imperfections?”

Will you remember the year that mom’s arm got caught inside the turkey as she was taking the giblets out? Will you remember the year you broke your arm on Christmas Eve only to wake up to a new skateboard the next day? Will you remember the year the entire family had the stomach virus and all camped out in the living room? Will you remember your sister running down the stairs on Christmas morning only to miss the bottom step?

You see, it’s the “imperfections” that make it perfect. It’s not the matching Christmas pajamas and the family Christmas cards, it’s the family. It’s not the beautifully set Christmas table with a delicious dinner, it’s the people who sit around it.

While “perfection” can be captured in a picture, it’s the “imperfections” which are captured in your heart. They become the stories shared and passed down to other generations. They become the tradition of storytelling and the legacy for our children.

As years pass, so does the idea of the “perfect” Christmas, and as we grow older, we begin to realize that what means the most is the memory of the “imperfections” and the loved ones who were part of them. Life changes, children move away, and sometimes the many faces that once sat around our table are no longer with us.

But their memories are…their stories are…and their love always surrounds us.

And sometimes we forget that. I see so many people writing about their sadness in missing the “old days,” yet I think that is such a waste of energy. I know that there are those I’m missing, yet I choose to embrace the memories as stories to share with my children. I choose to embrace this time, these loved ones, who are in my life now, and who will be around my table this year.

Memories aren’t meant to bring sadness, they’re meant to bring joy! And for those feeling an ache in their heart, please try and remember the love, the joy, and the memories of those not present this year. They gifted you with all those things and more.

Remember the “imperfections” that make every Christmas the “perfect one!”

Because in the end, the perfect Christmas is found within your heart.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Gratitude For The Memories”

gratitude 11

One of the things I’m grateful for are the memories I hold deep within my heart: the memories of the birth of each of my five children; the memories of birthday parties and Christmas mornings; and the gratitude for the memories of the emotions that I felt.

Fits Like A GloveI’m grateful for the memory of the feelings of a first date and how it felt the moment I fell in love; for the memory of the excitement of a first kiss; of the feelings to be held in the arms of the one you love for the first time.

I’m grateful for the memories of my kid’s tiny hands in mine; for how wonderful it feltRuthless People that I could fix a boo-boo; for the moments of watching them sleep when they were younger; for the memories of their laughter when they were little and the laughter as they grew older.

I’m grateful for the memories of family parties filled with aunts, uncles and more cousins than you could count. I’m grateful for the memories of my school days and for the nights I spent with my best friends.

tommy-memorialI’m grateful for the memories of my loved ones that have passed on; for the love that I still feel for them and for the love they felt for me; and I’m grateful for all the memories of time spent with them and the difference they made in my life.

I’m grateful for the memories of my first book being published; for the memories of howbnwindow1 it felt the day I submitted my manuscripts to the publisher; and for the memories of the moment that I first held my new book in my hands.

I’m grateful for the good memories that are embedded deep within my heart and soul. No one can take that away from me and on the days I feel a bit sad it’s those memories that can wash that away.

Good memories are stronger than any bad ones.

Today I sit remembering all those wonderful memories and for that I’m grateful.

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Podcast 1 – Getting To Know Me”

“When The World Put’s Things In Perspective”

You get up in the morning and get ready to start your day, whether it’s work or getting the kids off to school or simply going through your daily routine. You try and stay away from stress, drama and toxic people, yet somehow those things seem to slip into your day and into your life. You feel upset, sad, drained and tired…and then the world steps in to show you what’s really important: “the people in it.”

We’ve all seen the devastation in Texas and now all of us sit listening to the radio and watching the news to see where Hurricane Irma is going to hit and who is going to be affected by it.

Yet we’re all affected by it, whether we’re in the wake of the storm or on the outside trying to help those in it.

Let’s take a good look at the world and all that’s happened in the last week and what’s about to happen this week. Let’s focus on keeping each other in our prayers and helping those get through it.

Forget the drama, the stress, and the toxic people…they’re a waste of time and don’t deserve our time. There are people in this world that are hurting and that do deserve our time and help.

Please take a moment to say a prayer for Texas and to keep those in the path of Hurricane Irma in our prayers.

And remember: “it’s time to make a difference and we can make a difference together.”

Wishing you love, light and safety,

~Anne Dennish~
