“A Self-Care Reminder”

This time of year has a way of pulling us in every direction – plans to make, places to be, and people to take care of, but somewhere in the middle of all that hustle and bustle is YOU!

And YOU matter, too!

So, today, give yourself permission to slow down. If you’ve been working all day, come home and let the world quiet itself for a moment. Slip into something soft, breathe deeply and allow yourself to unwind.

And if you’re in the middle of a busy day, carve out even five minutes just for you: read a few pages of a book, sip something warm, listen to calming music, or simply sit in silence and let your mind rest.

Self-care isn’t selfish – it’s necessary. When you nurture your own heart, you make more room for joy, patience, and love to flow into everything else that you do.

Take a moment today, and everyday because you deserve that much – and so much more.

Wishing you love and light,

“Twas The Morning Of Christmas”

‘Twas the morning of Christmas and all through our home

Everyone was sleeping and I was alone

With a hot cup of coffee and my pup at my feet,

I turned on my laptop and sat in my seat.

The kids were still snuggled and sleeping in bed

But visions of past Christmases danced in my head.

I remembered when they were younger and so very small

And waited for Santa and his reindeer to call.

Then all of a sudden I knew what was the matter

I was afraid the magic of Christmas had become shattered

‘Fore as we grow older we tend to forget

That Christmas is much more than the presents we get

It’s remembering the magic and beauty of the season

After all, Christmastime was born with a reason.

So I say to you all take a moment to remember

To believe in the magic in this month of December

It’s time to stop writing, I see children in sight,

Merry Christmas to all and to all love and light.

Merry Christmas!

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~

“Happy December!”

Happy December 1st! It’s the first day of the last month of the year! Soon we’ll be welcoming a whole new year…

Until then, how are you going to spend the last month of 2017, a month filled with many holidays?

I know it’s a “hustle and bustle” time of year as we prepare for the holidays we celebrate, yet be sure to take some time to enjoy the holiday and embrace those celebrating with you. All too often the holiday is over before we could even enjoy it and a lesson I learned throughout the years is this: stop and look around at the loved ones surrounding you and let your heart take a picture! Enjoy each and every moment!

“Welcome December!”

Wishing you love and light,

~Anne Dennish~
